Personal Vision

I want to have a relaxed, stable life with enough income to live comfortably day-to-day. I hope to have the enthusiasm and energy to teach by day and still have the time to enjoy creating music in my off-hours. Ideally, I’d use my summer break to record music or follow my musician friends on tour, acting as an instrument technician and sound engineer.

 

I’d like to work as a teacher either at the high school or collegiate level somewhere in a major coastal city (Bay Area, Seattle, NY, etc.). I’d want to have a class that would take the content to heart and learn to observe the effects of history on themselves and the world around them.

 

I believe my strengths are my perseverance, enthusiasm, effective communication, and I hope to emit a kind aura.

 

My major life goals are to graduate college and get a cat. I’m allergic to cats but I’m willing to pop antihistamines daily or do allergy treatment, I don’t care. I used to loathe cats but like many things, I’ve opened up to them.

 

I’ve been around a lot, but there are still some places I want to visit. I think I want to visit Japan before I turn 25. There’s a lot there that looks interesting. Also some finely-crafted instruments and some interesting new music.

 

I’d like to get over my social anxiety so I can approach new people easier. I’d also like to improve my music skills to something more than passable.
